Main responsibility is to courier pharmacy deliveries to the hospital wards and departments in an efficient and timely manner.Spend significant time on the wards, observing the doctors, sisters, nurses and HCAs interact with each other and patients of various types.Complete various minor and important tasks in the Pharmacy department when needed, especially recently, due to COVID-19.

General responsibilities include playing with children of all ages, developing a portfolio of activities suited to individual children. A significant contribution is made towards child development, both in a practical sense and with regards to the generation of theories and strategies to deal with observed difficulties.

A significant aspect of this placement was as an MSA; supervising Years 1 and 2 at break times. Other consistent tasks were to administer “maths interventions” in the Year 1 classroom – essential catch-up time for those children behind schedule in maths, fluency checking the Year 2 children in guided reading and overseeing a group of children in reading through a book in guided reading. Also undertook various tasks when they came up to help the teacher(s) out in the performance of their duties. On occasion, supported children one-to-one.

Observed an array of staff in different areas of the hospital environment, especially with regards to patient interaction.Participated in elective admissions directly.
