• Responsible for development and implementation of nursing care plans, and supervising nursing staff to provide safe and effective care to residents, while utilizing time management skills.• Giving report on residents with charge nurse from previous/next tour of duty, and reporting change in resident’s status to the supervisor, physician and designated representative.• Knowledge and ability to various techniques including peritoneal dialysis, tracheostomy care, aseptic dressing, suctioning, urinary catheterization, laboratory specimens, and discharge plans. Administering medications and treatments as ordered by the physician, and counting controlled drugs with ongoing/previous shift.• Ensure compliance with facility policy and procedures as it pertains to infection control, accident/incidental reports, emergencies, mistreatment and/or neglect. Demonstrate complete knowledge of MDS, and proper documentation.
