I would like to build scalable Cloud Infrastructures to support the larger Web. At Amazon AWS, I was the lead developer for integrating our Server Manageability, a Dedicated Host management feature, with the core EC2 APIs. I worked across many AWS services including DynamoDB, Lambda and various other dependencies. For my work, I implemented APIs across the full stack, with implementing frontend work with React.js and backend work using Java, Python and Ruby. These APIs are designed with scalability in mind, utilizing multithreaded code. In my free time, I train for the sport of powerlifting. A very individual endeavor, I feel enjoyment in constantly improving my technique and strength. Game DeveloperIndependent Developer Dec 2016 - Sep 2017KyI independently developed Ungrounded: Ripple Unleashed VR, published on Steam. This is a multiplayer VR game that focuses on high mobility PvP combat. This game uniquely filled a niche in VR by utilizing flight based and grappling based locomotion, something that developers previously hesitated doing.For development, my largest achievement was learning to sync VR player information over the network while ensuring a balance between latency and packet send rate. Another achievement was creating asymmetric gameplay which allowed a VR player to play with a non-VR user on the same computer. -
ResearcherJanusz Konrad Sep 2016 - May 2017This was a UROP funded research project under the supervision of Janusz Konrad. I used the Unity3D game engine in order to automatically generate random rooms and automatically take thousands of images within these virtual rooms. The images were fed into a image processing neural network that would learn to categorize the messiness of these rooms.
