Feb 2010 - Aug 2017Haslingden, Lancs, GbWork as sole mechanical designer developing plastic injection moulded enclosures for devices in both the fire and security industries. These include PIR's, keypads, external sounders, CO detectors and fire sounders and beacons. I use Solidworks to generate CAD models and drawings, and experienced in prototyping and validation of designs including various mechanical testing. This can include ingress, impact, shock, sound output and tamper tests to ensure devices meet approvals requirements. Regularly deal with far east tooling companies as well as tool trials, modifications and production moulding aspects in our in-house moulding facility. Use Keyshot rendering software and Photoshop to generate images of concepts designs to present to the business. -
