Counsel patients on both current and new medication therapies.Administer vaccinations including: COVID-19 (5+), Influenza, pneumonia, Tdap, and Shingrix.Recommend appropriate self-care OTC medications to patients with treatable symptoms.Regularly retrieve prescriptions from physicians and mid-level providers over the phone.

I am responsible for performing duties as assigned by my Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist: including utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, ensuring information is entered correctly, filling prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medicine is correct, and checking for possible interactions. I assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining work flow. As well as, processing (correcting and resubmitting) manual claims for third party program prescription services in a timely and efficient manner, and performs other clerical duties, as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.

I closely collaborated with physicians, patients and clinic staff to facilitate patient flow and ensure accurate and complete medical records. I accompanied the physician into the patient exam room to document all physician-directed elements of the patient’s visit in the electronic medical record system to include symptoms, medications, physical exam findings, complete assessment and treatment plan. My Medical Scribe documentation included, but was not limited to; new patient notes, pre-visit intake notes, follow-up notes, consents, procedure notes, and inpatient notes.
