I worked within a small team where my responsibilities included communicating with prospective clients, pitching video ideas to meet their brief, meeting budgets, arranging travel and equipment hire, structuring filming schedules, directing, camera work, editing, carrying out any adaptations required, and delivering the final video after approval. I also played a key role in our online presence by creating videos to accompany the blog which helps inform customers whilst displaying the team’s light-hearted side with some tongue in cheek parodies as well as helpful technical advice.

What started as a creative outlet for me and my fellow graduates quickly turned into an exciting venture in video production. We set out to make content that we ourselves could be proud of, and made several short films as part of the 48 Hour Film Project in Glasgow and Edinburgh. ​ Our films won multiple awards which led to two of them being entered into the international finals of the competition in both 2012 and 2014​ . I then fulfilled a lifelong dream when one of these films was chosen as part of the official selection at Festival de Cannes 2014. Although we were making films with zero funding purely for our own artistic enjoyment this seemed to gain us a following and we were soon asked to make everything from music videos to documentaries. Working alongside Axis Animation to create the behind the scenes film for Halo 4: Spartan Ops at the Microsoft / 343 industries studios in Seattle was my personal highlight in that respect.
