As an engineering technician I have been fortunate to work with some brilliant engineers, manufacturing technicians and managers. As a result I have built a valuable skill set that I use in my daily tasks. Listed below are some of the tasks that describe my job.*Create and review technical drawings, blueprints, schematics or specifications using Pro Engineer 3d modeling program and Solid Works.Participate in design reviews for new and existing products.*Operate instruments, track test results, and troubleshoot when problems arise.Maintain equipment, including ordering parts and directing or performing preventative and repair maintenance as needed for in house fixtures and test beds.*Maintain logs and write reports of activity results and equipment maintenance. This includes in house test process procedures, field alignment procedures, and verification /qualification test reports.*Assist customers with phone and field support. I have traveled both domestically and internationally to support customers. My travels have taken me to Europe, South America, Asia, Caribbean Islands, and many States in the USA.*Train new assemblers and technicians on manufacturing processes. I believe one of my biggest goals is being able to pass on some of my knowledge and understanding of the manufacturing processes to my colleagues.* Run and maintain a 3d print lab. This includes ordering materials to sustain prototype and production demands, troubleshoot printers when necessary, design and print prototypes and production parts.
