Mr. Mazon was most recently, Senior Vice President and Head of MetLife Investment Management’s Institutional Solutions Group. Joe and his team were responsible for supporting the separation of Brighthouse Financial from MetLife. He assisted the Brighthouse investments team in creating its asset management and portfolio strategy processes, including new product design and pricing, developing and implementing investment guidelines, macro allocation, investment strategy, and portfolio construction. Previously, he was Head of Investment Grade Trading and the Portfolio Manager for the U.S. investment grade portfolio at MetLife. He also served as Senior Portfolio Manager and Strategist of Portfolio Management wherein he was responsible for asset allocation, and allocation of capital and management of more than $300 billion of assets, including fixed income securities, commercial and agriculture loans, equity, real estate, alternative investments and derivative instruments. The portfolios are managed according to an asset/liability management investment strategy. The key objective is to provide the income needed to meet the financial plan, which is accomplished by using alpha strategies including duration, curve, volatility and sector rotation.

Mr. Mazon worked for CIGNA Investment Management for 7 years, where he was a portfolio manager and trader specializing in the management of U.S. Government securities and Money Market portfolios.
