Sales Development Representative
I worked as an SDR for Vantage Health and Life, a B2B company. In this Lead Generation role, I established myself as a keen communicator and expert in financial services. I worked closely with Business owners and directors every day and helped cultivate leads from the beginning of the sales cycle to the end. We worked closely in relation with many companies in Northern Ireland from small to medium sizes to help with business and income protection. In this role, I identified leads for financial advisers to meet company owners and business directors face-to-face. I was charged with sourcing prospects that are a good fit for life insurance products. We cultivated a need and distinguished how this would advantage the prospects financially and help their companies become more tax efficient.
Sales Development Representative
At S2W, I was part of the Lead Generation industry in which I was establishing a need for Software as a Service (SaaS) and dealing with C-Level prospects on behalf of our clients. My drive and enthusiasm for sales along with my curiosity and thirst for knowledge made me successful in this role; along with my willingness to adapt to whatever my environment dictates which helped me with the challenges I faced in this role.
Scheduling Coordinator
I worked on secondment at BT on their Scheduling team as part of their new Flexi-Time initiative for advisors across the business. It was a development role in which I was able to refresh more of my office-based skills, mainly Microsoft Office but particularly with Excel. As it was a brand new contract within the company, a lot of pressure was placed on how we communicated and the direction it has gone in ever since. We met a lot of success when launching and left a lot of foundational stones in place for the contract to continue to thrive.
Technical Advisor
In the technical department, I was responsible for handling inbound calls from BT customers and coordinating with Open Reach to resolve any ongoing disputes or issues that have developed with their services. My skills in past roles particularly with Eishtec helped set me up for success in this role, and that is why I believe in part I was recommended for a development role after only a few months within the organisation.
Help Desk Operator
I worked at the Mitie group for just under three years, throughout which time I had the opportunity to work on multiple contracts including Network Rail and CTIL. I spent the majority of my time there working on their CTIL contract specialising in the maintenance of all cell mast sites in the UK. I learned the importance of being versatile and how to deal effectively in public relations as well as how to effectively manage my time as my responsibilities include inbound and outbound call interactions, managing community email inboxes (service desk and access), liaising with site providers and arranging visits, coordinating with Mitie engineer's and outsourced contractors, completing risk assessments and any other health/access concerns, maintaining a constant dialogue with the client (Cornerstone: Vodafone and Telefonica), as well as completing general 'in house' tasks, i.e. reports and other basic admin duties on a daily basis.Having extensive experience working under service-level agreements in this role, I was commended by my employers and received a Mitie Star, an acknowledgment of a high level of performance during the most challenging period of the annum. I grew a lot in this role and feel I received excellent training and feedback from my employer regarding my progress and experience in this role. Further to the aforementioned duties, I gained extensive experience in training new hires on the contract, due to my continued success within my role. I trained two new employees who have gone on to flourish and satisfactorily reach their own goals within the company.
Sales Advisor
I worked at Convergys for a year in which I was part of their Inbound sales team responsible for selling Vodafone mobile phone services, as well as additional products such as home broadband, insurance, and other additional devices. In this capacity, I was responsible for receiving inbound calls with a view to retaining customers and pitching additional services. During this time I was commended for my sales technique by my superiors as well as winning several competitions ran within the company for most sales within the month.
Sales Advisor/Team Leader
I worked at Eishtec for just under two years on their contract for EE's inbound Mobile team. Starting off as a Sales Advisor, then progressing to become an SME (floor walker/support staff), onboarding, and eventually finishing as a Team Leader. In my advisor capacity, I was responsible for selling mobile phone services and pitching additional products such as insurance, tablets, and broadband. As I became a more senior staff member, I was then called upon to train a group of new hires. During this time, I impressed enough to be offered a Team Leader position, and become personally responsible for the management of a 20-30 manned team. Responsibility would further extend to other teams in their managers absences, along with constant communication with Operational leaders across the UK. Throughout this role, my experience of managing a team and resolving conflict amongst a group of employees increased dramatically.I learnt skills on how to motivate -, not only myself, but team members in a one to one capacity but also in a group environment to ensure all company goals were met and help ensure team members achieved personal goals. During my time at the company, I also acquired experience with recruitment in sales, both with the pure selection side of the process and with more 'hands on' experience helping with on boarding and moulding talent. I took a lot of pride from watching the talent grow and become stellar agents for the company.
