  I supervise a group of employees in the delivery and collection of Mail and Packages. I also Supervise a group of employees in a retail setting that allows customers to buy stamps, mail packages, purchase mailing supplies and to purchase money orders. Transactions are completed by using a “Point of Sale” based retail computer system. I am responsible for the daily verification of financial reports and deposits at the end of each business day. I supervise employees in the performance of their duties and provide additional training as needed to meet the needs of the Postal Service. I supervise a group of employees in a Bulk Mail Acceptance Unit, the employees accept and process prepared customer mailings that range from 200 pieces to over 35,000 pieces. The mailings are recorded and verified through an online application called Postal One. I have to manually verify each mailing, ensure that the customer has provided the proper forms and payment for each mailing. I also maintain Bulk Mail customer accounts on the Postal One system by verifying balances and the payment of annual fees associated with each account.I am the Financial Control Officer for the Post office that I manage. I maintain several inventories and trust funds that include: Unit Floor Stock, Unit Reserve of Stamp Stock, Unit Cash Reserve, Unit Reserve of Money Orders, Expedited Packaging Supplies, Ready Post Mailing Supplies, Customer Trust Funds, Employee Trust Funds and Employee Suspense Items. Each of the theses inventories is replenished and maintained by a computer based ordering system called e-buy2; the trust and suspense items are maintained through various computer applications including the Enterprise Data Warehouse, Postal One and National Financial Snapshot. I am responsible for Bank Secrecy Act and Sarbane Oxley Act compliance for the Post Office that I manage.
