Responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of county systems, networks, and data through the planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems security program, policies, procedures, and tools. Provide strategic cybersecurity guidance to County Leadership and conduct regular briefings on cybersecurity matters.Responsible for conducting thorough cybersecurity risk assessments, providing recommendations for risk remediation and ensuring continuous compliance with HIPAA, CJIS, and other relevant California State and Federal regulations.Responsible for policy development, Reviewing and updating current cybersecurity policies, retaining documentation and evidence of reviews, actions taken, and systems analyzed. Provide oversight and mitigate risks associated with third-party vendors and system dependencies.Work closely with county departments to embed security, privacy, and compliance considerations in all solutions and promote a county-wide culture of cybersecurity awareness and compliance.
