I attended St Leo's Teacher Training College, Abeokuta where I obtained my Teachers' Grade II certificate in 1968. I proceeded to Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo where I studied English and Geography. I obtained my Nigeria Certificate of Education in 1973. I obtained my B.A. (Hons) English 2nd Class Upper from the University of Ife, (now Obafemi Awolowo University) Ile-Ife in 1977. I had my M. A. English from the University of Ibadan in 1984. I taught in Primary, Secondary and Tertiary institutions before joining the Civil Service in 1978 where I rose to the position of a Director of Education before I retired in 2008. I was a contract staff in Tai Solarin College of Education, Omu-Ijebu until October, 2014.
