During my internship at Eastra Solutions, I initially worked in the systems department where I installed virtual machines (VMs) using the VMware suite and handled data backups and replication with Veeam. Later, I transitioned to the physical infrastructure team, where I was involved in maintaining data centers and installing security devices, including access control systems and cameras. Additionally, I conducted site surveys to recommend appropriate security and network device installations.

I was involved in preventive maintenance of Safaricom's base transceiver stations (BTS). My responsibilities included ensuring that all power systems were fully operational at all times. We conducted monthly site inspections, verified the functionality of power sources such as Kenya Power, solar panels, and battery backups, and responded promptly to any power failures. Additionally, I was responsible for recording the power consumption of each site, using data from Kenya Power meter readings, solar systems, and battery usage.
