Held a wide degree of experience and responsibilities within the Birmingham Wheelchair Service, a specialist rehab service within the wider NHS Trust. Responsible for arranging appointments, contacting clients to organise these appointments, booking appointments on our electronic patient records, sending out appointment letters and scheduling any necessary equipment handovers. I am also responsible for checks for the following week, to make sure that all available clinic and home visit slots are filled, that all the equipment and appointment criteria have been met for the upcoming appointments, and that the clinical staff were aware of any pertinent points with specific appointments (such as if there are any alerts concerning specific clients). Also responsible for communication with Birmingham Wheelchair Service’s main contactors, who were responsible for most of our equipment stock, repairs and deliveries. Also held significant experience in ordering equipment through our dedicated system, issuing equipment from Ross Care’s stock and ordering prescription equipment from private suppliers, ordering wheelchairs and other related medical equipment. Finally a significant aspect of the job was to answer patient queries by telephone. Birmingham Wheelchair Service received a considerable volume of direct phone calls from clients or healthcare professionals acting, and alongside my team I answered many of these phone queries, always in a helpful and professional manner.

In this role I was required to utilize my absolute thoroughness and attention to detail, as I had to systematically catalogue over a thousand Byzantine coins and check all of the information through which each object could be identified and their provenance records located, as well as being able to perform this role while keeping to deadlines and with minimum supervision.

Data handling, locating NHS contracts in both electronic and physical copies, for inclusion into an MS Excel spreadsheet, maintainance of hyperlinks, attendence of meetings.
