Oversight and leadership over the Transitions Program focusing on emergency department frequent patients’ volume leading them out of overuse services and transitioning them to an established primary care. Through services offered by social worker or behavioral therapist every social determinant of health is met.

Responsibilities included Practice Manager, Metrics & Physician Success. Oversight of 2 orthopaedics practices (University & Berkeley). Creating relationships with providers (PAs/ATCs/MDs) to help improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the practice. Onboarding additional staff to help support provider clinics with surgery, registration, and prior authorization within the practice. Create a weekly schedule for clinical staff to support daily clinic. Ensure all monies are accounted for daily after clinic and submitted to designated dropbox. Distribute electronically weekly RVUs to the entire Orthopaedic Department for metric baseline. Collaborate with Ensemble (Revenue Cycle) for correct orthopaedic billing/coding and maximum reimbursement for the physician partners. Clear out workqueues of registration/billing errors. Work closely with Ciox Health (Medical Records) for all Orthopaedics medical records requests, including x-ray discs.

Served as an administrator on-site, managed Orthopaedic sites, and led Teammates underSurgical Scheduling, Prior Authorization, Legal, Worker’s Compensation, and RadiologyTechnologists. Provided oversight of Worker’s Compensation and managed pre-payment for deposition/IME. Assist continuous build on Epic EMR Go-Live. Ensure policies and best practices are up to industry standards and government regulations. Supervise daily practice operations such as billing, debt collections, security, and occupational health and safety and keep protocol updates for DHEC. Oversight and leadership in support of Anatomic Pathology outreach regarding RegionalHealth Network (RHN) insourcing. Ensure Anatomic Pathology billing and compliance are appropriately credited and debited to the patient’s account. Record/tissue/slide archives and warehouse management.Compliance with quality assurance, regulatory documentation, and implementation/maintenance of digital pathology technology. In addition to the responsibilities listed under Supervisor Telepathology InformationSolutions.

Provide oversite and leadership in support of the digitization of pathology slides. Case navigation to facilitate and support internal and external departmental consultative services and ensures compliance with legal requests, subpoenas, and court orders for the release and/or preservation of pathology materials. Ensure compliance with quality assurance, regulatory documentation. Oversee the operation and maintenance of digital scanning equipment used to produce high-quality digital images of human tissue from microscopic slides for diagnostic purposes by the implementation of technology supporting telepathology.

Review unfunded accounts to determine eligibility for sponsorship by available agencies, discuss coverage issues the patient and family. Communicate with insurance case managers to ascertain proper authorizations and pre-certifications in accordance with objectives, established standards, policies and procedures. As a paraprofessional member of the Oncology team, patient advocate, and liaison between internal and external entities to ensure proper protocol is taken.

Generate high revenue for the hospital by pursuing non-government third party payers for maximum payment on patient accounts. Request additional information as necessary, and ensures accounts needing maintenance are processed accurately. Handle Pharmacy Copayment accounts to make sure cancer, asthma, leukemia patient accounts are billed correctly for payment. Pull denial reports for coordinator to control Accounts Receivables days in EPIC. Bill, follow up, and review worker's compensation claims.
