Interpret historic properties and content as well as incorporation of information from the entire scope of Texas’ past in order to present an engaging and reflective experience for guests of all ages and backgrounds.Develop and deliver training techniques to new employees to expedite their acquisition of the agency’s standards and job-specific requirements. Senate Sitting Duty requires diligent attention to all visitors who enter the Texas Senate Chamber to ensure that all rules and standard protocol are adhered to, per the Texas Senate.Receive phone calls and answer in-person questions from current and potential visitors at the front desk of the Tour Guide Office in order to facilitate and enhance the guest experience.

Tour Guides are responsible for a safe, fun adventure experience for guests of all ages. Guides accompany guests throughout the 3 hour, full-service zipline tour and are responsible for clipping guests onto and off the zipline, braking for the guests, and escorting them along nature trails - all while entertaining with jokes, Lake Travis & Austin history, fun-facts, and prioritizing safety above all.Oversee, develop, and implement an extensive training program, including teaching job requirements and expectations while collecting and analyzing data to assess individual job skills and competence.Effectively communicate rules and proper safety protocol to guests in order to minimize risk on the course and keep every guest safe at all times, including monitoring the physical, mental, and emotional condition of each participant.Boat Captain duties include safely ferrying guests to and from the zipline course and registration office, while always staying aware of lake and weather conditions.Voted Tour Guide of the Year by my peers and management in 2019 & 2020; Promoted to Assistant Adventure Manager in Aug. 2021; Promoted to Senior Assistant Adventure Manager and Training Manager in Feb. 2022.
