Provides administrative guidance in the form of Standing Orders, the Manual of Operations, the Physical Security Plan, memorandrum, and oral instructions.Explains and interprets regulatory material, applicable ploicies, and procedures in the event of any discrepancies, misunderstandings, or questions that arise.Plans and coordinates the activitives of a guard force shift, through Lead Security Guards, to ensure the maintenance of physical security standards; enforcement of federal, state, and local laws and offical orders and regulations; protection of government and personal property; control of movement of personnel and vehicles onto the installation; and support of the implementation of installation emergency plans.Periodically inspects personnel for appearance, condition of weapons and equipment, knowledge of duties, and manner of performance.Receives and reviews daily reports from subordinate work leaders and insures the correction of reported irregularities.Sets employee standards for performance and prepares performance evaluations based on employee compliance.Prepares management reports as required, administers the annual and sick leave program, approves leave, stimulates management-employee communications, and maintains good employee morale and discipline.
