The work period for this job was a full-time position over a set 3-week period which consisted of leading a team of young adults to develop their strengths and integrity. This was fulfilled to help them to learn new skills and to improve their overall characteristics, life lessons and techniques to help them in the future. This job required leadership and excellent communication skills with both the young adults and other team leaders and team assistants to ensure sessions are completed effectively and everyone is engaged in the activities. Also, communication was a fundamental skill for this job role to allow myself as a leader to speak to my group and help them as a whole and individually using a correct level of vocabulary, whilst being clear and concise.

This job required a qualification prior to joining to ensure safety to both swimmers and myself. Further, needing a high level of concentration throughout the job, authority to intervene when necessary, as well as a duty of care and safety to all. Working as a lifeguard provided me with excellent communication skills to adapt to all ages and different personalities to ensure everyone is enjoying their time whilst upselling further products and services to customers.
