My original goal with my professional career was to become a role model to young children. I really wanted to teach and help a generation of people younger than me that potentially needed it. This goal brought me to the University of Toronto where I began a Bachelors degree in History. The plan was to complete the degree then attend teachers college. I realized that I just did not have the passion for history I deemed necessary to be able to teach successfully. When I realized this I began to try and fulfill my goal a different way.I have been involved with sports my entire life. I played soccer semi- professionally and recreationally played all kinds of other sports. I decided to use my passion of sports to fulfill my life goal of mentoring the youth. I began taking all Ontario Soccer coaches licences that I could. I have reached my B license as of now. The Pickering Football Club brought me on as a coach. I have now been there for four years as a coach. While I was coaching and in school I began to work at the Pickering Soccer Centre as a facility staff member to earn some money part time. As a member of the facility staff I showed enough to eventually be considered for an upcoming facility manager job. I enjoyed working with a sports facility so much I started school to ensure I can get the job. I attended BOMI International online to get my Facility Management Administrator designation. While studying, I got the job.With a year of this under my belt now, I can safely say that this is what I want to do with my career. Running a safe and pleasant sports facility, alongside coaching, is my final career goal.
