I currently work as an assistant editor for Black Camera, which is an academic journal that is devoted to the study and documentation of the Black cinematic experience and aims to engender and sustain a formal academic discussion of Black film production. I correspond with authors, copy edit journal articles, prepare manuscripts for publication, and acquire permissions for the reproduction of relevant media content.

Currently serve as an assistant editor for a professor at Indiana University for a two-book project based on the Wounded Galaxies 1968 festival.Copy-edited book proposal for first volume and prepared it for submission to the publisher.Acquired permissions from rights holders through ongoing correspondence to reprint images and articles and/or chapters that will appear in the volume.

In Spring 2022, I was an assistant for a course about human geography that focused on the ways that people's beliefs, behaviors, and opportunities are shaped by the specific qualities of the places in which they live, and how people think and transform those places.In Fall 2021, I was an assistant for a course that focused on the deeply interconnected biophysical and social forces that shape nature/society relations, from agriculture and biodiversity to flooding and climate change.In 2020-2021, I taught three online classes dealing with image cultures, media technologies and culture, and the history of videogames. Within each course, I utilized the teaching affordances of online learning to motivate my students to think creatively and critically about media images, the social construction of technologies, and the spatialization and integration of video games and their associated technologies into American sociocultural life and global society.In 2019-2020, I taught during three semesters about advertising and consumer culture in which I created and implemented syllabi, which emphasized interaction and creative production while enabling my students to think through problems from different theoretical and conceptual frameworks that apply to advertising and consumer culture. In the past, I was an assistant for lecture classes in "Introduction to Media Management and Industry," "Electronic Media Advertising," and "Principles of Creative Advertising."I served as a lab assistant for "Visual Communication," a class where I taught students how to use video camera equipment and utilize photo software such as Adobe, magazine design software such as Adobe In Design, and video editing software such as Final Cut Pro X for Mac.I have graded and provided feedback for students’ writing assignments, held office hours, proctored exams, and collaborated with professors in assisting students and preparing class material.

I engaged in interpersonal communication with those in need of assistance. I prepared religious certificates and designed advertisements and notifications for church activities.

I lectured students about the institution of slavery in the United States and manifest destiny in two sections of survey course “U.S. History to 1877"; I graded exams and writing assignments for survey course “U.S. History to 1877"; I wrote discussion questions for course "U.S. and the World"; I wrote outlines for class readings, graded exams and essays, raising questions and offering feedback for class “La Frontera"; I facilitated discussion portion of course “Western Civilization II” by preparing questions and materials for group discussion and analysis; and I held office hours throughout academic year and assisted students with writing, revising, and proofreading.

I enhanced my organizational skills by arranging weekly cultural activities that included “Spanish conversation tables,” the “Spanish Monday Night Film Series,” and a class trip to the Cleveland International Film Festival 2012. I improved my personal event-planning skills by organizing an academic lecture for a guest-speaker who discussed and informed students and citizens of Painesville about Guatemalan architecture. I assisted my adviser in preparing material for various courses and taught level-100 grammar course and level-200 Hispanic history course.

I systematized information into an orderly fashion and created indexes for easy accessibility to information about the village’s ordinances and resolutions.
