While the Atmospheric Science Lab Coordinator at Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi, I was given the unique opportunity to manage many high-quality expansive (100s of terabytes) datasets, for the purpose of deriving forecasted relationship and correlation trends. Much of this data requires quality control and format processing techniques. Some successful projects resulting from these datasets include:• Classifying hydrometeors for precipitation events using Principle Component Analysis• Analyzing the correlation of synchronous instrumentation between Corpus Christi, TX and the Arctic• Examining lightning detection differences via machine learning classification procedures. I am also primarily responsible for all campus weather instrumentation design, construction, maintenance, and deployment. My other duties include:• Teaching the Weather Observations course (ATSC-2301), the Introduction to Atmospheric Science labs (ATSC 2403), the Oil Spill Prevention and Response course (ESCI 4130 and 4230).• Performing departmental outreach at local high school and middle school career fairs.• Mentoring undergraduate students, graduate students, and full-time professors in research projects.• Developing weather broadcast equipment and software using Python.• Managing and performing data analysis on all campus/PI weather data using Python.

• Performed data analysis on the TRMM satellite radar data using the IDL programming language. • This project included an abundance of mathematical thinking as well as an understanding of satellite trigonometry.

• Used the IDL programming language to evaluate the North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO) using Community Climate Model data. • Created NAO indexes for both the true observed values as well as the modeled values to correlate and compare. • Assessed the data by instituting a “mass weighted” pressure average system.
