• Researched and created a plan to assemble a state-of-the-art ammunition production plant and testing facility. Involved understanding of customer product needs while creating a plan to integrate cost-effective yet modern technology. A marketing plan was developed for future customer interest.• Managed a variety of projects fulfilling contracts for the US Army Corps of Engineers at Ft. Riley, KS, Edwards AFB, CA, Ft. • Served as Project Leader for the design and manufacture of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). This involved design, build, integration, and flight testing of 4 sizes of UAVs from 3lbs to over 160lbs. These UAVs were fixed-wing, multi-rotor, and single duct varieties. UUVs were also designed.• Worked with UAV customers to help develop their missions, sensors and other payloads, propulsion systems, and other key components.• Worked on test sites learning and flying UAVs for the projects being managed. This required RC piloting experience but no license.• Worked with air-framers in multiple sites and learned rapid prototyping, usage of carbon filament and fiberglass materials, and other state-of-the-art methods.• Provided personnel and budget forecasts for company and individual projects.• Researched and presented new business development opportunities that used existing UAV and aircraft knowledge from previous projects or experience.• Initiated a procurement and product development program to build UAVs.• Performed annual employee reviews and collaborated on employee’s professional goals.• Coordinated and lead a monthly meeting with project leads that focused on new project management strategies.• Managed hiring decisions and staff changes with short cycles to meet the needs of a small business.
