As a Regional Plant Manager for Cypress Creek Renewables I get to experience the joys of managing approximately 400 MW of solar plants and the rewards of working with some of the smartest solar people I've ever met. One of my favorite things is to look at a 600 acre solar farm and watch it silently generate megawatts of solar electricity for hundreds of homes and businesses, all while hardly making a sound. I have been in the renewable energy industry, either as an Operations Manager or Director for over 12 years and am passionate about ensuring the technicians and plants I manage are safe and the very best they can be.Currently, I am responsible for ~400 MW of solar plants in NC and SC. They are a mix of large, BES (transmission) solar plants and clusters of smaller, distributed generation PV plants. My focus is on the operations and maintenance (O&M) side. Together with some very talented technicians, we strive to safely keep the solar plants at peak production as well as maintain a stellar relationship with our partner/owners by adhering to their schedules and safety/operational requirements for the most efficient operation of their solar farms. I am a licensed electrician, NABCEP Certified Solar Installer, NABCEP Certified PV Inspector, BPI Certified Energy Analyst and have installed or maintained over 400 MW of photovoltaic systems. I am a licensed commercial pilot and, in my free time, absolutely love the challenge and rewards of safely piloting an aircraft throughout the course of its flight.
