In addition, Mr. Smith is accountable for ABCBS's systems architecture and integration with all BCBS Plans System-wide. Among his "Shareware" endeavors, he has founded four major User Groups for shared systems investments, and a statewide administrative and clinical Health Information Network with two hospital systems (AHIN). Likewise, he is the Founder, Chairman and President of Shareware LLC, a shared capabilities company currently owned by 10 BCBS Plans.Mr. Smith also served in the U.S. Navy.
