I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Jie Zhou and her research team at NIU. In particular, the research is centered on pattern recognition, machine learning, intelligent data analysis and biological image analysis. My primary responsibilities are creating and developing Java plug-ins for the open source image processing program, ImageJ, to automate biological image analysis.

-Comprehensive database management-SQL query development and execution to perform data analytics

I was originally hired as a summer intern for a 12 week program. During this time, my primary assignment involved the development of an SQL query based data enrichment/validation tool to be used throughout a global SAP migration. I also spent time as an acting Business System Analyst, dealing with international affiliates in regards to the SAP migration. Upon finishing my initial 12 weeks, I was asked to continue working as an intern remotely during the Fall 2014 semester. My primary task during this time was to develop and maintain a report documenting the completion of SAP test scripts.

After working as an Asset Protection Manager for 6 months, I made the decision to return to school and pursue a computer science degree. I continued working with the company, part-time, in various sales positions while attending Rock Valley College and Northern Illinois University full-time.

I began working at the Sam's Club in Woodridge, Illinois, as a part-time cashier while attending Westwood College full-time. I continued working for the company in various positions, including as a Produce Associate and an Electronics Sales Associate. I began working for the company as a full-time supervisor in 2009. After working for two years in multiple supervisor positions, I was promoted into management as an Asset Protection Manager, and transferred to the Sam's Club in Rockford, Illinois.
