I teach courses and conduct research in family history, US history, and African American history at Brigham Young University.

I have taught many courses, including multiple experiences teaching United States history surveys, a course on race, religion, and inequality, and courses on professional development and skill-building for history majors and history graduate students. Students have described my courses as "impressively executed" and have noted my ability to "discuss difficult topics while retaining a safe space" for discussion. They have also highlighted my skills at guiding exploration of big-picture ideas around institutional inequity, especially "for students without a background in the subject."
