Joseph Swift is the proud recipient of a 2020 New York Emmy Award nomination for his work on the Queens Public Television [QPTV] Public Affairs program, “QPTV Presents – Civil Unrest In The US: A Call For Action”.The New York Emmy Awards nominated Mr. Swift for his role as Director/ Cameraman on the QPTV Current Affairs 60-minute program that centered on the tragic circumstances that lead to George Floyd’s death in May 2020 at the hands of officers of the Minneapolis Police Department.A veteran of local news and sports events, Mr. Swift’s professional resume includes excellent work with a diverse roster of corporate and media clients: Black Entertainment Television, the New York Mets Baseball Stadium (CitiField), MileSplit, Queensborough Community College, New Balance Track & Field Center and many more. He acted as the sport photographer for Nike’s Pro City Basketball games for three years, in addition to traveling across the country annually to capture the NCAA D1 Track and Field Championships.An expert in short deadlines on news stories, it is also his meticulous attention to detail that makes his work notable.
