This position involved overseeing 330 luxury apartments at Audubon Plantation Ridge in Worcester MA.

I started working at this hotel 3 months before it opened. This experience gave me a very unique opportunity to assist in opening a multi-million dollar business. During the opening process we worked very closely with Republic Construction to make sure that our hotel opened smoothly. We had to manage staff and training on an active construction site. Responsible for a 100 room hotel. Ordering, hiring staff, training new employees, administering reviews, scheduling, Payroll, HR, and all front desk operations.

Responsible for a 134 room select service hotel with bar, restaurant and catering team. Ordering, hiring staff, training new employees, administering reviews, scheduling, Payroll, HR, and all front desk operations. Responsible for overseeing all food and beverage operations, ordering, scheduling, and training. This experience gave me knowledge of liquor laws, bistro training, serve safe and restaurant and bar operations.

Responsible for overseeing a 134 room extended stay hotel, with a bar. Accounts payable, ordering, hiring staff, training new employees, administering reviews, scheduling, and overseeing Bar operations. I learned about the operations of a large event venue from working with the Portsmouth Harbor Events Center.

During this time Island Hospitality was looking for a General Manager for this property. I was the only manager on property. Along with assistance from nearby properties I oversaw operations for 2 months, until the opportunity to rejoin Colwen opened up. Responsible for accounts receivable, ordering, hiring staff, training new employees, administering reviews, scheduling, and payroll. I learned accounts receivable, group sales, Marsha, and Budgeting from the General Manager at the time.

Checked guests in and out, managed payment, room selection and market purchases. Got a deep understanding of FOSSE (Marriotts PMS). At a 77 room limited service hotel I was one of 2 staff members in at night. We were responsible for all requests, maintenance calls and all the laundry for the hotel. I also had the front desk responsibilities ( arrivals, calls and my checklist.)

This was my first position held with Colwen Hotels. I worked as a part of the housekeeping team to ensure that every one of the extended stay rooms were clean and beautiful.
