As Chief Executive Officer of the Americas for AXA XL, I drive the regional development and effective delivery of innovative insurance and risk management solutions to brokers and clients throughout the US, Canada, Bermuda and Latin AmericaPrior to my current position, I served as Chief Executive of North America Property & Casualty (P&C), which includes Property, Casualty and Professional insurance lines. My other previous roles include Chief Executive of the Americas region for XL Catlin and Chief Executive of North America Property & Casualty (P&C) unit for XL Group plc’s global insurance operations. Then I directed XL Group’s multi-line property & casualty operations, including underwriting activities for General Property, Global Risk Management, Excess Casualty, North America Programs, Construction, Environmental and Excess & Surplus coverages, in the U.S. and Canada. And immediately before that, I was President and Head of XL Group’s North America Property business and XL Global Asset Protection Services (XL GAPS), XL’s loss prevention consulting service. In this particular role, I was responsible for directing XL’s property underwriting activities for General Property and Energy Property business and managing a global team of risk engineers.I’ve been in the insurance industry for most of my working life. Before joining XL Group in 2011, I held a variety of positions in both underwriting and risk engineering roles.A couple of interesting facts about me: I’m a 1982 graduate of the US Naval Nuclear School, Orlando, FL and a veteran of the US Navy, where I served aboard submarines and as a nuclear field service engineer for nine years.
