My roles as Thought Leader Liaison & Patient Advocacy Liaison for the horrific neuromuscular & neurodegenerative rare disease Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) have honed my expertise in thought leader enagement, patient advocacy & advocacy engagement initiatives. As Exexutive Director & Director of Patient Advocacy at the Betty’s Brigade ALS Foundation, I strive to bridge the gap between ALS patients & the latest therapeutic advances, fostering a community where support and innovation go hand-in-hand.Previously, as a Key Account Manager, I cultivated enduring relationships with ALS healthcare providers & ALS patient advocacy groups focusing on awareness & education in each of the following arenas: product & disease state education, patient access to therapy & marketing of the first new oral ALS therapeutic option in over 25 years & only the second ever. Everyone in today’s healthcare landscape boasts somewhere & at some point about ‘patient focus, patient-centricity &/or a patient-first mentality’. Never in my experience has a patient community existed that comes as close to the true definitions of those terms than the ALS community. Myself, the Betty’s Brigade ALS Foudation & Amylyx Pharmaceuticals are proud to be but a small part of this never-ceasing ALS community.
