• Provide tax, assurance and attestation engagement work, both at the corporate and individual levels, for Real Estate Investment Companies, Real Estate Management Firms, and Employee Benefit Plans.• Analysis of complex real estate transactions for accounting accuracy and legal compliance consisting of property & fund acquisitions, dispositions, loan origination & refinancing, partnership syndications, and lease agreements.• Coordinating and executing the review of property valuation models (discounted cash flow, direct capitalization and expenditure, cost, etc.) in order to conclude on the reasonableness of client models.• Test components noting variances or ongoing trends using analytical procedures and methods such as vouching invoices, bank reconciliations, accounts receivable and payable registers to confirm accuracy of the client’s Balance Sheet and Income Statement.• Research tax laws in order to keep up to date with current condition amidst changing external variables and suggest solutions to potential future issues or concerns to client in a timely and preemptive manner.• Prepare income tax returns and work papers for Real Estate clients in the form of S Corporations (Form 1120S), Partnerships (Form 1065), Trusts (Form 1041), and Individuals (Form 1040)• Prepare consolidated tax returns, tax projections, estimates, and extensions for corporations and high net-worth individuals.• Create depreciation schedules and detail (Form 4562) following cost segregation analysis to determine assets that were able to be capitalized or expensed and the bonus depreciation that was able to be taken based on the current tax laws at the federal and the state levels.
