CUIndependent.com was the first publication I ever worked for when I started writing as sophomore at CU and throughout the years the CUI has help grow me into the journalist I am today. I have been a sports reporter covering just about every single sport you could possibly imagine. From soccer to rock climbing I've learned and experienced so much with my at CUIndependent.com. I was a copy editor in the fall of 2012, and now in 2013 I am a part of the multimedia section.

At Skiing Business I was a main contributor in running the website alongside the founder of the site, Ryan Dionne. I learned valuable skills in copy editing, Wordpress, Adobe Photoshop and working in a professional journalism environment. I also developed my skills in interviewing as I created multiple shop and brand profiles. I also wrote feature articles and helped create an elaborate 2013-14 product preview. All in all Skiing Business was a fun, great opportunity that I took advantage of by meeting a lot of great people in the industry and learning a lot about running a website with a dedicated audience.
