I take great pride in my practical background, having completed an apprenticeship as a TIG Welder Fabricator and Fitter before going down the university route. My drive for personal development led me to earn an undergraduate degree in Automotive Engineering, followed by a master’s in Racing Engine Systems, as I wanted to achieve more with the skills I have. Pushing myself and boundaries quickly became a staple of my professional life. My education gave me a solid theoretical foundation and introduced me to a wide range of programmes and software, which I’ve since mastered in my professional career.However, theory can only take you so far. It's practical, real-world experience that gets the job done. My background has been invaluable in allowing me to take proactive steps to drive my company forward, rather than standing by while others do the work.This principle holds true in my current role as an Experimental Officer at the Centre for Future Clean Mobility, where I’m responsible for designing and developing powertrains, as well as operating the one-megawatt dynamometer at our facility. It's an exciting role that constantly brings new challenges my way which I overcome using my unique skill set.Outside of work, I restore and build cars. At the moment, I’m building a TVR Tuscan Challenge car with a lightweight Sagaris race body shell and LS7 engine. I like to keep busy.
