I am a research and development scientist with over 20 years of experience in the electrochemical energy storage and conversion fields (lithium ion batteries, fuel cells, etc.) with a concentration on automotive applications. I am currently employed as the Principal Scientist at Intecells, Inc. We offer a pathway to leverage low cost, well established, non-thermal, ambient pressure, open-air plasma technology in order to increase throughput and scalability for manufacturing applications.My focus over the past ten years has been building and leading results-driven collaborations with suppliers, academia, and governmental organizations to aid in the development and release of next-generation batteries and fuel cells. As a multifaceted researcher, I have proven capabilities in synthetic techniques for nanoparticle systems, catalyst support modifications, electrode design and fabrication (with an eye towards manufacturability), durability and failure analysis, and product support/technology transfer to reduce warranty claims. I offer an unparalleled expertise in elucidating the structure/property relationships of energy materials that drive their respective activities/durability through the design and implementation of cutting-edge experiments on operando systems through synchrotron-based X-ray analytical techniques (EXAFS, XANES. HERFD, SAXS. WAXS, micro-XRF, XRD, and have recently started to explore PDF and XPS).
