About Joseph Ziolkowski
As a junior at Marquette University’s distinguished College of Business Administration, I’m actively immersed in my studies in both Finance and Real Estate, while also gaining valuable leadership, teamwork, and practical skills through other activities. This past spring, I decided to go through the recruitment process for Marquette's professional business fraternity (DSP - Delta Chapter). What a rewarding experience it has been so far! I currently sit on our Executive Board as the Vice President of Pledge Education. Further, as a Milwaukee native, I show Marquette and Milwaukee through my lens, primarily by my work as a campus tour guide in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. I show prospective students and their families how I am involved, both academically and not, all while explaining the benefits of our University. It is a joy to converse over our many accredited programs, our connections to Milwaukee’s business hub, along with our strong, international alumni base.Through Marquette’s COBA, I’m building relationships with industry professionals and superb professors, learning about various career paths in this dynamically strong field of business. From financial management, modeling, investment analysis, and foreign financial policy, to public speaking, writing, and professional development, my coursework and campus activities are equipping me with versatile skills and experiences that I’m excited to apply in a professional role after graduation.In the meantime, I expand my skillset by working part time at North Shore Country Club, along with the Wisconsin Club's City Club, where I get to express my interest in the hospitality field. This invigorating field allows me to utilize my knowledge and professionalism on a daily basis, along with still being held to a certain level of expectations. Further, being a part of the food and beverage industry has allowed me to gain invaluable insight and knowledge, as it offers me the opportunity to work with industry savants, while understanding the intricacies of delivering exceptional experiences for our members and guests. Every time I go into work, something different is happening, there are different members to learn about and cater towards their liking, and so much more. That constant, changing pace, and customer service focus, I find to be invigorating and rewarding. My time at Marquette has affirmed my passion for continuously learning and taking on new challenges both in my career and community. I look forward to connecting in the near future!
