Started at Thomas Jefferson Middle School in the Rockaway Borough School District in September 2015. Hired on as a part-time substitute teacher for all subjects and necessary staff assistant openings for grade levels 5-8. Performed necessary roles of the absent teacher or staff assistant for the day.

Hired at Copeland Middle School as a leave replacement educator for a biology professor that left on maternity leave. After finishing the school year, I returned to the school on a full time basis (4 days per week) as a In School On-Call Substitute Teacher for Grade Levels 6-8 in a variety of subjects. I remain with the school at the time being as i attend Seton Hall University for my Master's of Science in Biology.

A selective volunteer program that conducts a variety of clinical research in hospital emergency rooms. Organized and operated by Dr. Chinwe Ogedegbe and Dr. Joseph Feldman. Research Associates are responsible for enrolling participants for such studies by interacting with as many patients and visitors as possible. All volunteer research associates were National Alliance of Research Associates Program (NARAP) trained. We collected data for the Colorectal Cancer Screening Study – try to see if reminders for cancer screenings will lead towards keeping the population up to date on cancer screenings. I would survey patients about their knowledge and history of colorectal cancer screening as well as offer a reminder call if they are not up to date with their screening. Our second major study required RAs to enroll patients for Siemens ACS/CP Study – look at troponin levels in patients and study the significant differences over time. For this study I was more involved with the data management – collect and input enrolled patient information and collected data into database. As of September 2015 I was put in charge of follow-up call scheduling and calendar management in addition to my other roles for the program.

Internship with the NJ State Medical Examiner’s Office. This program allowed interns to shadow the medical examiners in the field and assist with the equipment. Interns managed the organization of field reports, scene photos, and family history for a detailed case report before the autopsy. Shadowed the lead doctor for various autopsies in addition to helping prep the Autopsy Room.
