I ran cross-country and track at Southwest Baptist University. I have been running for most of my life and running is what led me to SBU. Through running, I have learned the value of hard work and dedication. I have learned to always do my best no matter the circumstances and to never make excuses. I run with passion and purpose.Integrity is one of my core values. Because of my background as an athlete, I know how to lead, I know how to follow, I know how to build a strong team, I know how to put others before myself, and most importantly, I believe in doing the right thing.I believe that the professional world is no different from the world of athletics. Hard work will pay off and there are no limits to what people are capable of achieving with a goal in their minds and a passion in their hearts.If there is one thing that I have learned from running, it's that our attitudes are everything. It does not matter the situation; competing, working, or day-to-day life, it does not matter. Attitude is the most important aspect of life. We can have a good attitude about a given situation, or a bad one. What we choose determines the entire outcome of that situation.I fully believe in these values and what they represent. When I wake up every morning, I know that I have the opportunity to serve others and be a positive influence in their lives. Whatever career path I follow, I will work hard and do the best that I can do, with a positive attitude.
