I have been working for the state of Washington for 10 years now at Health Care Authority! In that time, I’ve volunteered for many workgroups and am an active Emergency Response Team (ERT) member. Each group I’ve been a part of, I’ve contributed to the success of implementing many changes that have helped procedures and quality of work. I’ve made many suggestions to MCS Mission Possible that have been incorporated into our processes/best practices.Over the years, I’ve not been just a team player, but also a leader! A lot of the time, because I’m very open and approachable, fellow team members will come to me with questions and/or advice when they cannot get ahold of our supervisor or a Lead. I’m usually always able to answer their questions or point them in the right direction if I don’t already know the answer(s). Whenever I come across an issue that I don’t already know, I triage, investigate, and research what’s needed to alleviate the question/issue at hand. I’m fully capable of learning new systems, policies and subject matters in a timely/quickly manner. I have an expert level of understanding of many systems while adhering to WACs, RCWs and Medicaid policies at the same time. Not only am I proficient using these systems, but there are also times when I find new ways of doing something. This helps make certain tasks easier for others and myself. I can also successfully navigate our agency's SharePoint to find needed information and am able explain to others where to find what they need, if asked.Prior to working for the Health Care Authority, I had other positions at Western Institutional Review Board (WIRB) as well as Association of Washington Cities (AWC).At WIRB I accurately and completely entered information into databases, proofread documents for accuracy in grammar, punctuation and formatting as well as edit/adjust PDF documents using Adobe Flash. When needed, I also prepared approved documents by the Board before transmitting to recipients.While working at AWC, I created and maintained Excel Spreadsheets to track grants, trainings, department costs as well as reimbursements. I helped coordinate special events coverage with third party vendors for risk management gatherings. Not only was I able to prepare all travel logistics for staff, but monitored, organized and updated inventory spreadsheets for all supplies/equipment.My greatest strength is people, however, have a great eye for detail, quality and production and am a highly valuable asset to any organization I'm in!!!
