Joseph Quezada was promoted to Assistant Director of International Operations prior to the 2024 season. In this role Quezada helps oversee all scouting and player development needs in Latin America and the Far East for the St. Louis Cardinals. Prior to this, Quezada worked as an area scout covering the South Texas and Louisiana territories in the domestic scouting department. Quezada had previously worked as Manager of International Operations for 2 years after originally joining the St. Louis organization in 2018 as Coordinator of International Operations. Quezada is in his 7th year in professional baseball with a focus on scouting, research and development. Prior to joining the Cardinals, he practiced insurance defense litigation in South Texas for 2 years. A native Texan, Quezada’s knowledge of the experiences and perspectives of local juries across the region led to his success in South Texas courtrooms on behalf of his clients. In 2016, Quezada acquired his juris doctorate degree from the University of Houston Law Center. While in law school, he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Houston Journal of Health Law and Policy. In this position, Quezada led a team of over 30 law students in the publication of a national journal devoted exclusively to health law and policy issues. Prior to law school, he acquired his degree in Psychology (Bachelor’s of Science) from Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas. Quezada is a proud fighting Texas Aggie.
