I am originally from Brooklyn, New York. I moved to Florida at the start of my freshman year of High School when I decided to pursue a career in pharmacy. I then applied to my school’s dual enrollment program at Florida Gulf Coast University where I was able to complete my Associates Degree and prerequisite course all before my high school graduation to be able to apply to pharmacy school. I am now a third-year student at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy Orlando Campus. Currently I serve as the Industry Pharmacists Organization chapter President. The goal of our chapter is to provide students with the resources and opportunities to become a well-rounded candidate for a career in Pharma. I also serve as Electronic Systems Management for Apopka Clinic with Inter-Professional Healthcare Coalition. The clinic offers uncharged healthcare serving the farmworkers population in Apopka. My role is to train pharmacy students to properly use our EMR system, ensuring the pharmacy runs proficiently and resolving technical difficulties that may arise. Outside of the college, I work as an intern at Publix pharmacy. There, I have developed patient and inter-professional communication skills. I provide patient care by maintaining proficient pharmacy flow by utilizing open communication and embracing teamwork.
