Greetings! I am a trained clinical neuropsychologist, and now serve as a senior clinical and business development advisor in psychedelics. My experience spans medical and neuropsychology, psychotherapy, healthcare startups, clinical trials, and the development of psychedelics and natural medicines in clinical, academic, and retreat contexts. I earned 3 graduate degrees with an MA and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and a Master's in Spiritual Theology. I completed my clinical training at top academic medical centers in Los Angeles including UCLA, USC, and a postdoctoral research fellowship in aging, neuropsychology and neurobehavior at the West Los Angeles VA Hospital. I left the academic medical context following direct experiences with plant medicines and subsequently shifted my career to psychedelics in 2014. My professional experience with psychedelic therapy and research includes working as Clinical Research Director and CEO at a 5-MeO-DMT/ibogaine clinic called Crossroads Treatment Center, which became The Mission Within. In this role, I developed clinical protocols and published observational studies on ibogaine and 5-MeO-DMT, including the first human brain scans pre/post ibogaine and observational human data on 5-MeO-DMT. I have designed and led psychedelic retreats across the globe serving hundreds of individuals in naturalistic contexts through Psychedelic Journeys since 2015. In this role, I have studied with elders in African/ Khemetic knowledge systems, and continue to deepen my relationship with ancestral traditions as applied to modern/ Western contexts for healing and initiatic work with high-dose psychedelic experiences. I served as a psychotherapist in a phase 2 study of MDMA-Assisted Psychotherapy for PTSD, and now work with numerous psychedelic non-profits, advocacy groups, university research initiatives, clinics, retreat centers, legislative initiatives, and investment groups at the forefront of innovation in psychedelic delivery in both medical and non-medical contexts. I am in service to advancing containers and contexts which are medically safe, scientifically sound, and nature-aligned, which respect the wisdom streams and sacred nature of such experiences.
