Joe enjoys outdoor activities like trout fishing, tennis, hiking and camping, as well scuba diving. He is a member of the Trout Unlimited and is a PADI Master scuba diver. He and his wife Janet have two children. He tries to contribute to the community through charitable groups and volunteers at Big Brothers. Joe graduated from UNC-Asheville with a BS in Chemistry and from Clemson with a Masters in Organic Chemistry in 1990. He worked as an environmental chemist and chemical sales representative prior to joining Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in 1999.
