I am currently a video journalist with CTV News Winnipeg. Following my time with CTV Morning Live I now cover breaking news, press conferences and file feature stories for our evening newscasts and digitally for our website. In addition, I will fill in as a backup to our live on location reporter and camera operator for the morning show and assist where needed to deliver more news coverage to Manitobans.

I started my time with CTV Winnipeg as the traffic reporter and video journalist as a part of the CTV Morning Live News Team. Each weekday morning from 6:00-9:00 a.m. I would deliver live updates on the road as the traffic reporter bringing up to date information on road conditions, construction, incidents and breaking news for the morning show from Winnipeg. During my interviews, I would get a chance to have conversations with business owners, people of interest and timely events happening across the city. When I was not assigned to traffic, I would backfill for our live on location reporter on the show. I was a staff reporter and photographer with The Brandon Sun. Over the course of each week I contributed to both the daily and Westman This Week sections of the newspaper, covering stories on agriculture, arts & life, business and profiles on individual communities and people of the Westman region. I had the opportunity to cover the agriculture and business beats at the paper. Each week I reported on a variety of subject matters from local news, business, sports and arts & culture stories from the communities in my coverage area. As the recipient of the 2021 Vince Leah Free Press Sports Internship, I completed 55 sports articles in 13 weeks on the job for the Winnipeg Free Press that was published in their daily paper and website. Over the course of my internship, I was assigned to be the paper's beat reporter of the Canadian Premier League, Valour FC and Winnipeg Goldeyes which made up a good portion of my written work. For the final year of my Bachelor of Arts in Journalism degree I was placed at CTV Saskatoon for a 13 week internship. The experience was a great opportunity to boost my broadcast journalism skills. In roughly 60 days of work I was able to air 38 full broadcast reports that aired on TV and the CTV Saskatoon Website.
