I have two decades of experience in setting goals and implementing a strategic path for success. I employ collaborative cross-functional management styles to help ensure everyone in the organization contributes.My background spans co-founding/CEO of a technology startup, engineering, product management. On the engineering side, I have degrees in mechanical, nuclear, and electrical engineering . I also earned a Professional Engineer’s license in control systems. I am a problem solver by nature and enjoy diving into the complexities of cross-functional design.After graduating MIT, I served as an officer in the US Navy for 8 years. Given my engineering background, my roles were product manager and program officer for the control systems that run nuclear power plans aboard submarines and aircraft carriers. Stationed in Washington DC, I led groups of various sizes (5 to 75 people) to conceptualize, design, manufacture, deploy, and maintain advanced nuclear technology. My government regulatory oversight responsibilities allowed me to regularly meet with senior leaders at prime contractors (e.g., Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon) and with the ultimate customers (e.g., sailors, maintenance technicians, shipyard personnel).Following an MBA at Stanford, I joined Tektronix (Danaher Company) and simultaneously led both an engineering team and sales/marketing teams at Tektronix Component Solutions. I later led product marketing for the Source and Analyzer product lines. This experience sharpened my appreciation for the transition from a conceptualized design to a profitable commercial product. In 2015 I co-founded Senaptec with three fantastic co-founders. Senaptec makes tools to improve brain performance when it comes to sensory processing (e.g., vision, balance, proprioception). As CEO, I took the company from zero to multi-millions in revenue and cash flow positive in 4 years. I managed engineering (both in-house and contractors) and operations to develop and deploy 5 innovative products covered under our portfolio of over 80 patents. Other accomplishments include 3 rounds of financing, successful licensing agreements with large corporations, developing a global manufacturing supply chain, large military contracts and breakthrough healthcare innovation.
