I am a Senior Shareholder and serve as Chief Executive Officer of Sommers Schwartz, overseeing the firm’s operations and stewarding its continued growth and profitability.Since 2010, Sommers Schwartz has renewed its focus on litigation by strengthening the Personal Injury and Medical Malpractice groups, establishing a national presence for the Mass Tort and Class Action departments, and expanding the Complex Business, Employment, and Wage & Hour Litigation practices. In addition, I have concentrated my efforts on streamlining various back-office functions and navigating the many challenges associated with the firm’s recent office relocation.I began my career in commercial banking before becoming a lawyer in 1985. Prior to taking on my leadership role at the firm, my practice focused on complex business transactions. I have represented lenders in all types of commercial loan transactions, from structuring and documenting complex loan originations to handling loan workouts and remedial actions. In addition, I have counseled real estate clients in purchase and sale transactions, financing arrangements, and property development activities, including construction and leasing matters.
