The Board of Directors accepted the proposal & asked me to manage the trial of the new product. One year on Local Post (as it became known) had become essential to the development of the company & has offices in Bath & Bristol with plans to roll out across the UK.As Local Post became a part of the core business & grew in size & remit my role became larger & more important to the company. This led to promotion to the Board of Directors in September 2012.My role as the manager of Local Post & then Postal Services Director has led me to gain a wide range of experience & a variety of different passions. Involvement in the Postal Services Industry specifically led me to become part of the MCF (Mail Competition Forum) that works to ensure that the Postal Services Industry operates on a level playing field by consulting with industry experts & the industry regulator (OFCOM) & helping to advise on government policy & consultations. As a result I was regularly involved with developments at the forefront of the industry & have developed a deep understanding & expertise of the area.This role involved managing the further development of the Local Post logistics network, providing advice and expertise on the postal industry and ensuring that the company is aware of and in line with current regulation and legislation.
