As a senior electrical engineer, my responsibilities include reviewing and developing construction documents including design, plans development, project specifications, calculation reports, shop drawings, requests for Information, cost estimates, material quantity takeoffs, client comment responses, and staff hour estimates for the transportation and infrastructure industries, including roadway lighting, signalization, intelligent transportation systems, and stormwater pump stations. Additionally, I design electrical systems for the aviation industry, including electrical vault buildings, control panels, pilot radio control systems, and constant current regulators for taxiway, runway, REIL, and PAPI lighting.

As an electrical engineer, I am responsible for process improvements and development work as needed, simultaneously performing various electrical design assignments, cost estimations, electrical calculations, field inspections, and plans preparation. My responsibilities include preparation of electrical design calculations and plans preparation for movable bridge power and control systems, roadway lighting, and tolling systems. I perform various calculations for movable bridge electrical systems including voltage drop, short circuit analysis, load flow analysis, arc flash analysis, device protection coordination, conduit and conductor sizing, overcurrent protection, generator sizing, and transformer sizing using the latest power system analysis software. In addition, I assist the Engineer of Record with roadway lighting projects, including preparation of roadway lighting plans, lighting design analysis reports (LDAR), lighting justification reports (LJR), and lighting calculations. Lighting calculations I performed include photometric analysis, daytime lighting analysis, short circuit analysis, arc flash hazard analysis, voltage drop, and load flow analysis. I also assist the Engineer of Record with tolling projects. My tasks include creating plans and supporting calculations in compliance with the FDOT General Tolling Requirements (GTR) for Toll Gantries, Toll Sites, and Toll Building Electrical. Tolling related calculations I performed include standby generator sizing, fuel tank sizing, toll building photometrics, short circuit analysis, voltage drop, load flow, and branch loading analysis.

Responsible for supporting the professional engineers on process improvements and development work as needed, simultaneously, performing various electrical design assignments, cost estimations, field inspections during construction, shop drawing review, and plans preparation.
