I am a founding member of the Carolina Community Intervention Program. A non-profit organization assisting young adults ages 14 - 21 with GED preperation, job readiness, Job placement, Life Skills, and a host of other services. CCIP conducts Job Readiness seminars on campus or we will come to your location. CCIP also provides Transitional housing. I am ex-military spending 5 years in the Army as a Radio and Telephone Operator. Performed many different task from Commanders driver to Training NCO as a non-commissioned officer.I am known as Coach Carr by the young people I have and continue to mentor. I have have been a coach for 25 years and counting. I started my coaching by volunteering at a High School in Ft, Campbell Ky. After that I went back to where I learned how to and played football, with the New Rochell Youth Tackle League Pop Warner teams, and recently with the Q Foundation Falcons.I am the Community Volunteer for Idlewild elementary's Right Moves For Youth(RMFY) which is a non-profit organization, run by Menmbers of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department. RMFY is dedicated to helping Elementary, Middle school, and High School students make the right choices.I am President of 'Men of Action' a group of fathers at Idlewild elementary whose purpose is to encourage fathers to be accountable and make a difference in the lives our youth. I have dabbled in the acting field over the years my last project was playing 'Uncle Henry' a old coon in the gospel stage play 'Don't tell Momma'. I am a radio host of my own weekly show 'Talk with Mr. Carr', this show is to empower, uplift and encourage our young people as well as the parents who raise them.
