After uprooting myself from England to explore an exciting job opportunity on the other side of the equator, I have spent the last six years working for South Africa’s biggest football publication, Soccer Laduma. My move from the UK to South Africa led me to become extremely adaptive as I quickly found my feet in a foreign country, learning the league almost from scratch, to become one of the most high-profile journalists in the country. I have a huge passion for the game, and I am enthusiastic, driven, committed and have a desire to continuously improve myself and whatever project I’m working on.My personal social channels have seen me work in collaboration with high profile brands such as Coca-Cola, Nike, Adidas, Heineken, Barclays and many others, using both written and visual content to increase traffic and brand visibility. I am constantly exploring new ideas for entertaining and engaging content so that I can create the best campaigns for the companies and agencies I collaborate with. I’ve taught myself aspects of Photoshop in order to create my own content for my platforms, and my experience of using social media for a brand will no doubt stand me in good stead for this position.Since arriving in South Africa my social media following across Twitter, Facebook and Instagram has grown by more than 105,000 people. I continue to look for ways to build my brand online, and to always keep it exciting and relevant. The learning also never stops, and I like to stay on top of current social media and market trends.I manage all of my own accounts, and also during my time at Soccer Laduma I had access to – and posted on - their social media accounts with upwards of 3,000,000 people.
