Joseph founded GR8, "Great Experiences, Great Causes"​ in August 2010. Initially, Whitner launched GR8 developing the concept of it’s most recognized event “GR8 Friends for Japan” event hosted by World #1 tennis professional, Novak Djokovic. This event raised significant funds and awareness for Red Cross Japan, while receiving worldwide press acknowledgement from ESPN, CNN, Tennis Channel, and an ATP World Tour Uncovered special segment (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXfCLtmdmwQ). After the launch, Whitner lead the operations of the business securing its initial capital raise, constructing the overall business and strategic plan, and hiring key operational support in accounting, legal, client service, and sales & marketing roles. Whitner managed several key departments including the financial, business development, legal & HR. Whitner communicated financial objectives with other key officers formulating clear reporting processes with profit & loss responsibility of budget & projections, cash flow, and key working capital accounts managed on a revenue recognition basis. Revenues exceeded over 10x growth in a 3 year span under Whitner’s term. Whitner built the companies’ sales pipeline and secured contracts with key clients including TripAdvisor, American Express, UBS, SATMAP, & Oliver Wyman. In addition, Whitner created one of GR8's most well recognized sports product line in sports travel. The most recent product being the world #1 Bryan Brother's US Open Experience Getaway (http://gr8-experience.com/usopen/) featuring a tennis challenge against the world's most well known doubles team.

• Collaborated successfully with principals & property mgmt co. in 1031 exchange including the sale & purchase of each property over $17+ mm in property sales & purchase, analyzing capitalization rate, year over year cash-flows, loan obligation, local real estate market trends & upside potential• Coordinated Tenant In Common (TIC) Agreement to separate interests of both two principal investors before property sale & to execute 1031 • Reviewed operating & loan agreements, purchase & sales agreement, holding legal team to strict 1031 deadline

At Bryson Financial, JC served as a Financial Analyst working mainly as a client services specialist and working with the CEO and other chief officers on key projects. This included client acquisition, client follow-up and meetings, & completion of investment reviews and portfolios for client companies by aligning mutual funds from retirement plan providers. Whitner also oversaw all enrollment meetings, investment review meetings, 401K and life insurance meetings. On another note, Whitner worked in research & with business databases including those of salesforce.com, dstvision.com, and other databases to assist in organization, follow-up, and key updates to clients & prospects. Joseph also shadowed the CEO for 3 months, learning several key components in running a 40+ year successful business in the employees benefits & financial industry. Additional tasks included preparing management for meetings & conference call with clients, providing insights, note taking, networking with clients, & proposal preparation. Whitner also provided financial analysis of portfolio to clients.
